Crime Alert

CRIME ALERT in Singapore….someone stole a bicycle!! haha

Yes, in Singapore it’s a big deal; indeed, crime here is apparently one of the lowest in the world, at the point of having alert sign even for theft of bicycle. lol

To be fair though, I took that picture in a very posh area, but still! 🙂

The Fine City

Singapore is a city that value efficiency and quick access to general information (well, in most cases). One easy example is for instance to know in advance the fine you’ll receive if you break the law.

Yes correct you’ll see these anywhere near subway stations. (It’s only in the subway…obviously)

At least you don’t have to check on Google or anything, you know right away that bringing gas or fuel in a subway will give you a fine of S$5,000. lol

FYI jaywalking is S$500, stealing wi-fi (or more like trying to get a free network on the street) is considered “hacking” and you could expect a S$5000 fine. There are some other good ones, but you get the idea I think.

I mean, truth to be said, it’s still a fine place to live. I have jaywalked, chew a gum, stolen wi-fi, and as you witness I am still very much alive and not broke yet. 🙂

Museum Afternoon

Today I went to the Art & Science Museum; you know that fancy building right next to the fancy Marina Bay Sand hotel.

Art & Science Museum

Current expositions are Mummy: Secrets of the Tomb and National Geographic – 50 Greatest Photographs.

Amigos, if you have the chance to see any of these expositions, definitely go for it. The Mummy one is quite interesting; it basically shows the secrets of the Egyptian burial practices and mummification process (including a 15 min video in 3D).

The other one, well is just photographs one will say; but really for most of them you will feel something, you know like emotion etc…I felt something haha :-). Anyway the good thing is you’ll have the short story behind the photo, which is quite nice.

Below is one of the pictures; yes it’s the same as the one above in the banner (flash was forbidden, so you cannot really see details). I stand in front of it for a good five min.

If these expositions are in your city, it’s a must gO folks!!

McDo anyone?

I just realized I live in one of those very few places where you can actually see this…

mcdonald-delivery

Yes correct…Mc Donald delivery 🙂 … Isn’t this cOOl?  I know some of you would really love that where you live right now. It’s OK you can admit! haha

Truth is I find it a bit scary; somehow I feel like ordering a Mcdo for delivery is the essence of laziness, especially since it’s 24 hours/7 days.
